Inspired by crafting guru Mark Montano’s Cast Plaster Mask Planters, I thought it would be fun to make some of my own. The first time around, I failed to follow directions and went free-form style. Yeah, that wound up looks like the love child of Cookie Monster and a cement mixer.
The second one (where I followed directions!) worked out much better.
I posted about my misadventures, and Heather Mann of Dollar Store Crafts reached out to see if I was willing to submit my project to her Craft Fail book. As a project where handmade went horribly wrong, I was totally game to have it included. Proud to have my craft fail immortalized.
