While researching places to check out during my trip to Taiwan, I discovered the “Modern Toilet” restaurant. I had a heck of time finding it — I had two different addresses for the same place, and spent half an hour walking in circles until I found it. The gigantic toilet on the side of the building should have been a clue, but I was looking at address numbers and not at the second and third floors.

Travelling solo, it was super easy to get a table even though it was pretty crowded. All menu items are served in toilet-themed porcelain dishes. The menu items were all over the place, including a Spicy Mexican Seafood Paradise Spaghetti that I was a bit afraid of. I went with a curry instead. The food was okay — standard “tourist trap” fare. You go for the experience, not for the food.
