
Forget pumpkin spice lattes. The latest craze will be Old Bay spice lattes.
Inspired by the “Pumpkin Spice Crab is Back” sign at Kelly’s Brighton Marina, Old Bay spice lattes are the perfect complement to pumpkin-spice crab.
This culinary experiment was done was done very quick, dirty, and small-scale: one Nespresso pod, store-bought simple syrup, Old Bay seasoning, and oat milk foam.
I sort of dug it. Very spicy kick to it, although the celery salt flavor was a bit too forward for me. If I were to do it again, I would make a simple syrup from scratch infused with a lighter interpretation of Old Bay botanicals. Definitely would cut back on the celery seed, salt, and mustard seed.
