Life is for living. When presented with an opportunity, I ask myself, “When will I get the chance to do this again?” and jump into the adventure. Whenever possible, I take a class or learn something new.

I love exploring off the beaten path places, especially open markets, junk shops, and second-hand clothing emporiums. I do my best to master “hello,” “please,” and “thank you” in the local language before traveling to a new country. I learn how to hail a cab, negotiate a bargain, navigate the subway, eat in decadent restaurants, find good watering holes, and let the server know that I do not want ice in my beverage. My latte-ordering skills in China still need a lot of work.
